Paul Gascoigne in 'suicide scare'

Paul Gascoigne is being supported by his new girlfriend after sparking fresh fears for his wellbeing, according to a report.

The Sun claims that Gazza was at the centre of a 'suicide scare' this week after he was discovered with mysterious wrist injuries at his home in Newcastle.

Gazza's partner Sally Mulholland is said to have jetted from her home in Portugal to the UK after hearing the news.

"Paul had been doing well lately but is now spiralling out of control again," a source told the newspaper.

"Sally knows he needs her and has flown to Newcastle to offer support. He's in a shocking state but says he won't go anywhere without Sally."

Gascoigne met Mullholland while he was on holiday in the Algarve in September.
