Jolie: 'Motherhood gave me peace'

Angelina Jolie has revealed that she felt at peace with her looks for the first time when she became a mother.

The actress, who has six children with partner Brad Pitt, said that having a family has made her feel "happy" with her appearance.

"When I look at myself, I just see somebody at peace, and I see a mum, and I see my own relatives in my face, and that's a kind of beauty that exists for everybody and doesn’t disappear," she told the Daily Mail.

"Something else comes out of you when you become a parent and, as you get older, you start to see more character in your face."

Jolie added that she is pleased to be looking more like her own mother, who died from ovarian cancer in January.

"You know what is beautiful? My mum. She was beautiful to me, and I look more like my mum as I get older," she said.
