Cowell, Seymour 'talk every few hours'

Terri Seymour has revealed that she and former partner Simon Cowell still talk five times a day.

The TV presenter told Hello that the pair will always be "dear friends", adding that the X Factor judge usually calls her just before he goes to bed.

Seymour said that during their six-year relationship, which ended earlier this month, Cowell would always try to make her laugh rather than arguing.

She also refuted claims that the 49-year-old music mogul gave her a mass cash settlement following their split.

"I was horrified when I read that he's supposed to have given me $10 million or whatever. I was like, 'Why?' I've worked myself since I was 12 years old. I've always been very independent and I'm lucky that I still work like I do," she said.

Seymour, 34, revealed that the reason behind their decision to end the relationship was that they were never together. "There's only so much you can do over the telephone and it really was a long-distance relationship," she said. "But we still talk five times a day and everything's great between us."
