Moore admits to bloodsucking beauty regime

Demi Moore has revealed that she underwent a beauty regime that included having her blood sucked by leeches.

The 46-year-old actress told Hello! that she likes to be at "the cutting edge" of the latest health and beauty treatments.

She said: "I did go to Austria to do a cleanse, and part of the treatment was leech therapy. But these aren't just swamp leeches, these are high-level bloodsuckers!"

Moore confessed that the initial experience was not a pleasant one, adding: "They have a little enzyme that gets released into your blood when they're biting down on you.

"Generally, you bleed for a quite a bit and health is optimised because of it - it detoxifies the blood. You first feel worse and then you feel better."
