Nicole Richie to wed in January?

Nicole Richie and boyfriend Joel Madden will reportedly marry in January.

The pair are said to be looking to tie the knot on daughter Harlow's first birthday next year.

A source close to the couple claimed that they hope the gesture will show Harlow how much they love each other, saying: "They want to set an example for Harlow. Nicole and Joel are doing this to seal their love legally.

"They want the ceremony to coincide with Harlow's first birthday and be one big joyous occasion for everybody."

Richie recently promised that she will not marry in secret. "When we get married, everyone will know. It will happen when it happens," she said.
