Aguilera takes parenting tips from Richie

Christina Aguilera has praised Nicole Richie's parenting skills.

The popstar told Fox News that she has been impressed with how the socialite has embraced motherhood and has sought her advice.

"I was blown away with how great of a mum she is," she said. "I actually ask her for advice because she has a lot of great things that she does for her little one. She's even a little more stricter with battery operated toys and what not. She's a great woman."

Aguilera explained that she had little contact with Richie until their children were born a day apart.

"I didn't know much about Nicole, but because our little ones are born one day apart and through mutual friends, I've had the opportunity of getting to know her," she commented.

The 27-year-old added that parenthood has caused Richie to "grow so much as it has made me grow".
