Actress Maxine Peake has said that her sex scenes in Shameless were "a shock" for her mum.
Peake, who played Veronica in the Channel 4 comedy, said that she is happy to be remembered for her role on the show, but claimed her mum might not be so proud.
"[Shameless] is not a bad thing to be known for, although my mother might not agree," she told Metro.
"She didn't like seeing her daughter do some of things I had to do. Some of the sex scenes were a bit of a shock."
Speaking about one romantic scene that went wrong, she commented: "A director told me I had to be naked on all fours. They told me what was expected at the audition and I said it was fine, thinking I'd have time to talk them out of it later.
"We rehearsed it with a different director and, when he said to start, I jumped on the bed on all fours and he said: 'Maxine what are you doing? We're not doing any of that now'. Much to the amusement of the crew. I was mortified."
