DS Icon: Bob Holness

When you ask somebody to name their favourite quiz show host, most will go for the obvious and predictable choices of Bob Monkhouse or Bruce Forsyth. Digital Spy, however, would always pick Robert Wentworth John Holness. Aside from giving us the classic "Can I have 'P' please Bob" gag, Holness's gentle demeanor and ability to deal with nerdy students on Blockbusters alone earn him the status of a DS Icon.
Beyond Blockbusters, the grey-haired gent also worked for Radio 1, 2 and LBC, Call My Bluff and Raise The Roof. Holness can also claim to be one of the first actors to play James Bond, taking the 007 role in a radio play of Moonraker. Ever the joker, the 80-year-old has also always played along with the urban myth that he played the sax solo on Gerry Rafferty's 'Baker Street'.
