Banks: "I'm having a stay-cation"

Tyra Banks has postponed her annual holiday due to the global economic crisis.

The 34-year-old America's Next Top Model host told Ebony that she will use the money saved to give her staff Christmas bonuses and pay waiters sizable tips.

"I gotta take care of my people," she remarked. "Hotel prices are at a peak. Because of what's going on with the economy I've decided not to take that vacation. So I was like, I'll just chill. I'm doing a 'stay-cation'. Staying in the States."

Her best friend and Top Model co-creator Kenya Barris said that despite Banks's riches, the supermodel likes to spend her money wisely.

"The thing she is impressed with is getting a deal on something," Barris said. "She gets a kick out of being frugal."
