Furnish keeps Elton's hair as "talisman"

David Furnish has revealed that he keeps a lock of partner Elton John's hair around his neck to bring him good luck.

The producer admitted that he does not go to any important events unless he has the charm on his person.

"I have around my neck a little tiny locket and it has a lock of Elton's baby hair and a picture of him as a baby," he told the Los Angeles Times.

"I wear it for important occasions - when I climbed Mount Kilimanjaro and on airplanes. It's a talisman that makes me feel protected, like I've got him with me all the time."

The couple, who met at a dinner party in 1993, married in a civil partnership three years ago.
