'CSI' Helgenberger confirms separation

Marg Helgenberger has confirmed that she and her actor husband Alan Rosenberg have split.

A representative for the CSI star told People that the couple are taking some "time apart" after 19 years of marriage. "They love and respect each other and remain committed to their family," the rep said.

Rosenberg, 57, met the 50-year-old actress on the soap opera Ryan's Hope and the pair wed in 1989. The president of the Screen Actors Guild, Rosenberg has also guest starred alongside Helgenberger in a number of CSI episodes.

The couple have one child together, 18-year-old Hugh.
