Madonna house-hunting in New York?

Madonna is reportedly looking for a New York mansion with a price tag of up to $60 million (£40 million).

However, rumours that the property could be a shared purchase between the singer and Alex Rodriguez were denied by his representatives.

The New York Yankee baseball star is thought to be dating Madonna following her split from Guy Ritchie in the summer and subsequent divorce last month.

Sources told the New York Post that the popstar is looking for an Upper East Side property with a drive-in garage for additional security.

"Madonna personally came to look at one house a couple of months ago, and Alex has been looking recently," an insider said. "We're talking about private, double-width mansions in the vicinity of $30 million to $60 million."

A-Rod recently attended the Miami leg of Madonna's 'Sticky & Sweet' world tour, where he is said to have "smiled adoringly" at the singer from the front row.
