K-Fed: Custody fight was not about money

Kevin Federline has insisted that his custody battle with Britney Spears was not about money.

Federline said that his only concern was the wellbeing of the couple's children Sean Preston and Jayden James.

The aspiring musician won full custody in January as Spears's behaviour began to spiral out of control.

"[Custody]'s all that mattered. I didn't know how much power Britney had. That really scared me," he told People magazine.

The couple's marriage fell apart in 2006, with Spears claiming that Federline's attempts to make it as a rapper was partly to blame.

However, he insisted that he has always put the children first, saying: "Not that I ignored Britney, but my kids are always most important."
