Thierry Henry has reportedly reached an £8 million divorce settlement with his former wife Claire Merry.
The pair met on the set of Henry's 'Va Va Voom' Renault Clio adverts in 2001. They were wed for four years until Merry was granted a quick divorce last September on the grounds of the Barcelona star's "unreasonable behaviour".
A friend told The Sun that the deal is close to the £10 million that Merry was seeking.
The source said: "It was settled at the end of last week. Claire is delighted.
"Neither her or Thierry wanted to go back to court as they are both now moving on with their lives. She is happy with the conclusion. She said it is close to the £10 million she wanted."
Prior to their divorce, Merry is said to have discovered romantic text messages to another woman on the footballer's mobile phone.
