Mathew Horne 'too selfish' for fatherhood

Gavin & Stacey star Mathew Horne has revealed that he has no plans to start a family.

The 30-year-old actor, who has kept tight-lipped about his current partner, insisted that he is not cut out for fatherhood.

"I don't want children. I've got too much to do looking after myself," Horne told Now magazine. "I don't know how I'd possibly look after another person. I'm far too selfish to have a child - I just couldn't do it."

Horne also joked that having an "ugly child" would be one of his biggest fears if he ever changed his mind and decided to become a parent.

"I'd have to be absolutely 100 per cent sure that the girl I had a child with was good looking enough," he explained. "I'd have to do a lot of research first to check that she didn't have ugly genes!"
