The Mean Machine actor is reported to have suffered a broken nose caused by a man smashing a beer mug into his face in a Dakota tavern on Thursday.
Jones was treated for his injuries at Sanford USD Medical Centre, where a spokeswoman said: "He was brought in for observation. He had a laceration of the head and a nasal injury. He has since been discharged."
The former footballer is thought to have been released on $400 (£274) bail, while the other man remains in court. Both will face a court hearing in the future.
