Scarlett Johansson has revealed that she thinks next year will be "amazing".
The actress said that she has high hopes for 2009 because US President-elect Barack Obama will be inaugurated as the first African-American Head Of State.
Johansson added that all she wants for Christmas from husband Ryan Reynolds is tickets to the politician's Inaugural Ball.
"I'm so excited about that ball and about politics. 2009 will be an amazing year," she said.
Tickets to the event are currently being traded on eBay for more than £50,000, reports The Mirror.
