Beckham guard confronts pursuing paparazzo

David Beckham apparently fled to his car after a fight broke out between a paparazzo and one of his security team in Beverly Hills.

E! Online reports that the football star confronted the photographer moments before the brawl took place.

An eyewitness claimed: "They started fighting right in the street in front of the police station.

"Once the bodyguards and the paparazzi started fighting, David ran back to the car and he and Victoria drove off. The cops finally came and broke it up."

A police spokesman said they are reviewing the incident, adding that no-one has been taken into custody.
