Blanchett: 'I get mistaken for Winslet'

Actress Cate Blanchett has revealed that she is often mistaken for fellow A-lister Kate Winslet.

Speaking after receiving her star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame, the 39-year-old explained that a mix-up between the two is a regular occurrence.

"Well, Kate Winslet and I share the same agent," she said. "Often people will say 'I recognise you, you were great in Titanic!' Winslet, Blanchett - look if I'm mistaken for Kate Winslet I'm happy."

Along with Winslet, Blanchett also praised Kate Beckinsale, adding: "Both of them are British and they come from a very long and different tradition of filmmaking to America.

"The very fact that all of us have been able to move in between our own filmmaking culture and work here in America is something that we're all proud of."
