Aniston: Mayer is "extraordinary"

Jennifer Aniston has spoken for the first time about musician boyfriend John Mayer, describing him as "extraordinary".

In an interview with The Mirror, she said: "He's a rare one. He is extraordinary and it is wonderful to watch him...the way his brain works and the way he thinks thoughts...it's beautiful.

"It's an amazing thing to watch a musician think. I don't know many musicians but when his guitar is on him it's just like a channel. It's something I've never seen before."

Aniston and Mayer resumed their romance in October after briefly separating in August.

The actress also revealed that she is "baffled" by the continued public interest in her split from Brad Pitt.

"It makes no sense to me," she said. "Everybody goes through tough times. You've just got to figure out how to get through them."
