Lorraine Kelly to be football reporter

Lorraine Kelly has signed up to work as a football reporter for Radio Scotland's Off The Ball.

The GMTV presenter will give live updates for a match between Dundee United and Rangers on Saturday. Kelly is a lifelong Dundee supporter.

"We'll be doing this for the next month, at least," producer James Mitchell told the Daily Record. "We figured it would be good to kick off with someone who had a bit of novelty value.

"Lorraine will be keeping those listeners who want to listen to our show, but who also want to know what's going on in the football, up to date with the big game."

He joked: "We've been thinking about our celebrity fan wish-list and we figured we could maybe ask Sir Sean Connery to do both Celtic and Rangers."
