Brand snubs reporters at film premiere

Russell Brand refused to speak to reporters at last night's British premiere of his latest film.

It was the comedian's first public appearance in the UK since the controversy surrounding his prank call to Fawlty Towers actor Andrew Sachs.

Brand turned up late to the screening of Disney's Bedtime Stories at London's Odeon Kensington. He walked straight past waiting reporters, stopping only to sign a few autographs and chat to some fans.

The 33-year-old has been living in the U.S, after reportedly fleeing there to escape the scandal surrounding the prank call.

However, Brand's co-star in the film, Adam Sandler, had nothing but praise for him, describing the comedian as a "fine gentleman".

"America is big on Russell Brand," he added.
