Pattinson: 'I was too masculine to model'

Robert Pattinson has revealed that he was forced to give up a career in modelling because he was too masculine.

The Twilight star began modelling at the age of 12 but quit four years later when the work stopped coming.

"When I first started I was quite tall and looked like a girl, so I got lots of jobs because it was during that period where the androgynous look was cool," he told Closer.

"Then, I guess, I became too much of a guy, so I never got any more jobs. I had the most unsuccessful modelling career."
