Miley Cyrus bemoans 'old' Porsche

Miley Cyrus has complained that she was given an old Porsche instead of a new car after turning 16.

The Hannah Montana star admitted that she had wanted a brand new vehicle but was instead offered her mother's old Porsche.

"I do have a car. I took my mum's old car. I didn't get the one I wanted, but I got the old car which wasn't so bad because it was a Porsche," she told US TV show Extra.

"I suppose it was a pretty good hand-me-down."

The singer revealed that her driving lessons have not been as easy as she had originally anticipated.

"My test person scares me. He says, 'Alright Miley, if you make a left turn, what's going to happen?' And I am like, 'I don't really know'. And he goes, 'Thump! That's what going to happen to your brand-new car'."

She added that an early lesson had been cut short after a crazed onlooker hurled fruit in her direction. "I already had a big Student Driver sign over my head, and someone threw a banana at me!" she said.
