Britney wishes Buddhists "Happy Christmas"

The singer was performing on TV show Best Music Artist when she told the audience to a "have a happy Christmas!"
The star is currently promoting her new album Circus in the country which is predominantly made up of non-Christian Buddhists and Shintoists.
Despite the embarrassing gaffe, Spears told fans on her blog that she had enjoyed the trip.
"I love Japan! I think all the tiny cars are so cute. I enjoyed a walk in a botanical garden and got to see a Japanese wedding. Then I went shopping.
"We just visited the oldest Buddhist temple. It was so beautiful."
The singer is reported to have also planned a trip to India in a bid to boost the country's image following recent terrorist attacks.
