Hathaway 'left boyfriend over flowers'

Anne Hathaway has claimed that she knew her relationship with Raffaello Follieri would not last after the couple disagreed over a bunch of dead flowers.

The actress said that Follieri threw away an arrangement of cherry blossom branches as soon as they started to wilt.

She said: "They lasted a month and were beautiful even as they died. Raffaello always liked things fancier and perfect and told our maid to throw them out.

"That was when I knew we saw things differently."

Follieri was jailed for four-and-a-half years in October after pleading guilty to fraud, conspiracy and money laundering changes.
