Brand 'couldn't stop touching Sandler'

Russell Brand has confessed that he couldn't stop touching Bedtime Stories co-star Adam Sandler on set.

Brand admitted that he was a little star-struck when he first met the Wedding Singer star, with whom he appears in the upcoming Disney movie.

"You think 'God he's only over there, I can touch him,'" he told reporters at the film's Los Angeles premiere last night. "Sometimes as he'd walk by I'd just quickly touch him.

"He'd say 'what's the problem buddy?' and I'd go 'nothing' and he'd say 'did you just touch me?' and I'd say 'no it was one of those kids, they're idiots!'"

The actor also revealed that he is adapting to life in Hollywood.

"When I used to see a red carpet I used to think I was in Allied's," he joked, in reference to the British carpet retailer. "But now I just know this must be a film.

"Why is carpet in the outside world considered to be so decadent?"
