Jade Goody has confirmed that she is confident about her chances of fulfilling her commitment to a Christmas pantomime role.

The reality TV star has taken on the part of the Wicked Queen in a production of Snow White in Lincoln, despite currently fighting a battle against cervical cancer.

"The theatre took me on before my illness, when no-one else would touch me, so I really didn't want to let them down," Goody told the Lincolnshire Echo. "I've got an understudy but I'm hoping I can get through.

"I've scheduled my treatments for Mondays when the show isn't on and I just sleep all the time I'm not on-stage."

Goody recently revealed that she is "naive" about her health and "doesn't want to know" the full details of her illness.
