Kirsten Dunst has been given court protection against her alleged stalker, after a judge granted her request for a restraining order.

Christopher R. Smith has been told to stay away from the Spider-Man actress, her personal assistant and any place of work she frequents.

Dunst was granted a temporary restraining order against Smith in November when the 25-year-old trespassed at her Los Angeles home after bypassing security, forcing her assistant to perform a citizen's arrest.

"Mr. Smith's sudden, aggressive, and harassing efforts to contact me are extremely frightening. I fear not only for my own personal safety, but also for the safety and well-being of my housemate and assistant," Dunst told the court earlier this month.

Neither Dunst nor Smith attended the hearing at LA's County Superior Court.
