Kidman's yacht 'angers local residents'

Nicole Kidman has reportedly sparked complaints from her former neighbours after leaving her yacht moored outside their apartment complex.

The Australia star moved out of her home in the exclusive harbourside development nearly a year ago, but her £2.1 million yacht has remained in the nearby marina.

Strict bylaws governing the complex say that only residents can moor their boats in the vicinity, and angry locals have accused the development's governing committee of turning a blind eye to the actress's breach of regulations.

A spokesperson for Kidman told the Sydney Morning Herald that the yacht had been left in the marina because the star had planned on buying another property on site, which did not happen.

The representative claimed that the vessel would be moved next week and rejected allegations that the actress was being favoured, saying: "The [committee] would never do anything just because it's her."

Wally Paterson, an advisor to the owners' corporation said he was "absolutely adamant that everyone gets treated equally no matter who or what they are".

Kidman owns a house nearby but spends most of her time in Nashville, Tennessee, where she lives with husband Keith Urban and their daughter Sunday Rose.
