Jackson rents $100k a month house

Michael Jackson has reportedly begun renting a $100,000 (£70,000) per month luxury home in Los Angeles.

The singer, who is frequently the subject of bankruptcy rumours, signed the deal on the $38 million (£26 million) mansion weeks ago, according to TMZ.

The palatial home is located in Holmby Hills, one of LA's most exclusive residential areas. It has seven bedrooms, 13 bathrooms, 12 firepaces, a cinema and a wine cellar.

Jackson has been plagued by financial problems since his 2003 arrest on child molestation charges.

He was forced to give up his Neverland ranch earlier this year after being told that the property would be foreclosed and sold at auction. Last month, he reached a £4.7 million settlement in a breach-of-contract suit with a Bahrani sheikh.

He is now facing a lawsuit from a woman named Bille Jean who is claiming to be the biological mother of his six-year-old son Blanket.
