James Corden has revealed that he plans to catch up on lost sleep over the festive season.

The Gavin & Stacey co-creator and star told The Mirror that he is expecting a low-key Christmas to recover from his hectic year.

He said: "I'm going to sleep so much over Christmas. I can't wait for a nice, calm ordinary Christmas to finish off a year where there hasn't been an awful lot of ordinariness going on for me."

Speaking about his rise to fame in 2008, the 30-year-old added: "Everything's changed but it's all good.

"I get recognised in the street now but people come up and say nice things about the show and that can't be bad, can it?"
