Eva Mendes admits to Gallagher crush

Eva Mendes has revealed that she has a crush on Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher.

The Hollywood actress, whose new film The Spirit opens on January 1, said that her infatuation with Gallagher stems from a love of the Manchester music scene.

Bang Showbiz quotes her as saying: "Liam is definitely one of the sexiest men alive. I love Oasis, but I also love the Stone Roses and The Smiths. I've always had a strong affinity for Manchester."

Mendes described Manchester as the "coolest city I can think of", adding that its bleak weather is a welcome alternative to the heat of Los Angeles.

"I was raised on sunshine and beaches," she remarked. "Whenever I go to Manchester it's pouring with rain and the skies are grey. But I can't get enough of it. Whenever I listen to a Smiths record and I hear Morrissey's voice I wish I was in Manchester."
