Michael Lohan calls 'truce' with Lindsay

Michael Lohan has reportedly declared a "truce" with daughter Lindsay and has pleaded with critics to leave them alone.

The relationship between the pair has become increasingly strained following a series of public attacks and disagreements.

Last week, the Mean Girls star blogged on her MySpace page that her father had a child out of wedlock, while Michael has frequently criticised the actress's relationship with DJ girlfriend Samantha Ronson.

However, Michael has now revealed that they are attempting to fix their stormy relationship.

"There is a truce between Lindsay and I, so please stop adding any fuel to the fire," he wrote on his official site MikeLohanOnline.

"I respectfully ask that all sources, so called friends and mouthpieces refrain from any more comments or suggestions on her blog."
