Deschanel engaged to Death Cab singer

Zooey Deschanel is to marry Death Cab For Cutie frontman Ben Gibbard, People reports.

The 28-year-old, who can currently be seen opposite Jim Carrey in Yes Man, reportedly became engaged to the indie singer before Christmas.

Deschanel's previous acting credits include The Happening, Elf and The Hitchiker's Guide To The Galaxy. She released an album, Volume One, with her band She & Him this year.

A representative for the actress declined to comment.
