DS Icon: Jenny Powell

Jenny Powell is one of DS's youngest icons, but she is more than worthy of the crown thanks to her versatile TV talents and tireless work on children's shows during the '80s and '90s. The Ilford lass began her career on BBC music show No Limits before finding her niche on classic kids entertainment formats Ghost Train, UP2U and the unforgettable Gimme 5, where she worked alongside comic sidekick Nobby The Sheep.

Powell's decision to appear on the likes of Bingo Late Night and compete on Celebrity Wrestling may not have been wise career moves, but we can forgive these mistakes thanks to her ever-cheery continuing presence on shows such as Through The Keyhole, Win, Lose Or Draw and You Bet!. She also famously worked as the foxy hostess on Wheel Of Fortune alongside Nicky Campbell, Bradley Walsh and John Leslie.
