Matt Dillon arrested for speeding

Matt Dillon has been arrested and charged with speeding.

The actor was caught by police driving at 106mph on Interstate 91 in Newbury, Vermont, on Tuesday. The highway's speed limit is 65mph.

The 44-year-old was later released, with a date scheduled for Orange County Court on January 21. If found guilty, he could face up to three months in prison and a £150 fine.

Dillon has appeared in Wild Things, There's Something About Mary and Crash, for which he received an Oscar nomination in 2005.
