Tony Robinson to marry young lover

Tony Robinson is to marry his 27-year-old girlfriend.

Blackadder actor Robinson reportedly proposed to Louise Hobbs during a three-week holiday in Malaysia.

"An engagement was clearly on the cards. Despite the age difference, they're very happy together," a source close to the couple told the Daily Mail. "Tony proposed the day after they arrived on holiday on December 28. Of course they are both over the moon.

"It's fair to say not everybody thought it would last. Some are concerned for Louise, although no one would raise that with her. At the end of the day, when he is 80, she will still be a relatively young woman of 45."

However, Hobbs's mother Pamela refused to confirm that the couple are to wed, saying: "I think they're in Malaysia until the 20th, so you'll have to wait until they come back and let you know. I'm afraid I can't say anything more than that."
