Lourdes 'desperate' to become actress

Madonna's daughter Lourdes is reportedly "desperate" to become an actress and has enrolled at a prestigious drama school in New York.

The 12-year-old has joined Manhattan's Professional Children's School, a specialist facility that provides education for students pursuing careers in the performing arts, according to the Daily Mail.

"Lourdes is desperate to become an actress," said a source. "She is determined to prove herself and plans to throw herself into studying the technique."

Previous students at the school include Scarlett Johansson, Sarah Michelle Gellar and Sarah Jessica Parker.
