Travolta flies son's ashes back home

John Travolta has flown home the ashes of his 16-year-old son Jett, who died on January 2.

The actor piloted his Gulfstream 2 plane to Tampa International Airport, Florida following Jett's cremation in the Bahamas.

The Travolta family were met at the airport by representatives of the Church of Scientology and promptly driven away in a large van, according to the Daily Mail.

Jett's body was cremated after an autopsy revealed that he had hit his head against a bath tub after suffering a seizure during a family holiday in the Bahamas.

The family yesterday issued a statement revealing their "heartbreak" and thanking the public for its support.
