Brolin will not face charges over his involvement in a bar brawl last year.

The 40-year-old was arrested alongside actor Jeffrey Wright in July 2008, and later charged with interfering with police officers following a disturbance at a Louisiana bar.

However, prosecutors have now agreed to drop all charges, according to the pair's lawyer Blair Berk.

"All charges will be dismissed. [A deal] was entered this morning and will be finalised in 60 days so there's no admission [of guilt]. They will be deemed not arrested and not convicted of anything," he said.

The actors were celebrating wrapping the George Bush biopic W. with five crew members at the Stray Cats bar in Shreveport. Police arrived after one drunk crew member was asked to leave and later pepper-sprayed both Brolin and Wright and used a Taser weapon on Wright, according to Berk.

Charges against the crew members have also been dropped.
