The musical achieved the highest number of paid admissions in one week for any production last year, attracting more than 20,000 ticket buyers in the week starting December 29.
The guitarist confirmed on his official website that he will be making an appearance onstage this weekend, but only in a cameo role.
"I will be there Saturday 10, and I will be making a small appearance (or is it 'apparition'?) in the matinee and evening shows. It's not an advertised part of the show - it's just a fun bonus, which happens about once a year ... but it's always a blast," he wrote.

We Will Rock You opened in 2002 and has since become the longest-running musical at the Dominion Theatre.
