Katona 'slurs and staggers' at party

Kerry Katona has sparked new fears for her wellbeing after being spotted "slurring and staggering" at a celebrity party, according to a report.

The reality TV star and her husband Mark Croft attended a bash organised by David Gest at Liverpool's Adelphi Hotel on Friday evening.

An onlooker told the News Of The World: "Kerry had a drink in her hand for most of the night and she was one of the last to leave. She and Mark took it in turns to go to the bar all evening. At one point I thought Mark was about to fall going up the stairs until Kerry just managed to grab him. Then she almost fell herself."

Katona was criticised in October after slurring her words in an interview with This Morning. She later admitted that she is an alcoholic.

The party guest added: "It seems Kerry's back to her old ways. She appeared to have had far too much to drink."

However, a spokesman for the star insisted: "Kerry and Mark were invited to attend an event. At no stage were either of them drunk or out of control. They had no more than a couple of drinks each and had a lovely time."
