Duchovny: 'I have never felt better'

David Duchovny has revealed that he has "never felt better" following his treatment for sex addiction last year.

The Californication star voluntarily checked himself into a rehabilitation centre last August to seek help for the problem.

"Last year was a difficult year," he told Access Hollywood at last night's Golden Globes. "And I can say that I, personally, have never felt better. And I think the better I am, the better my family can be."

The former X-Files actor also praised his wife Tea Leoni for standing by him, despite tabloid reports that the pair were divorcing.

"We’re a strong family and there’s a lot of love in our family and we’re just really grateful for everybody’s concern. My life has changed, in many ways, for the better."

Duchovny was nominated at last night's awards for his role in Californication but lost out to Alec Baldwin for 30 Rock.
