Takei 'refuses to take Shatner bait'

George Takei has said that he will not be provoked into another war of words with William Shatner.

The ex-Star Trek actors have been at odds since Shatner revealed that he did not receive an invitation to Takei's wedding last year. He later claimed that he asked Takei to settle the dispute on new US talkshow Shatner's Raw Nerve, which Takei denies.

"Bill hasn't invited me," said the former I'm A Celebrity... contestant. "I only heard about the show a few days ago and when I did, I thought to myself: 'Aha! He's trying to create controversy again.' Well, I'm not going to bite the bait!"

Shatner's Raw Nerve will see the actor attempt to make his celebrity guests feel uncomfortable rather than getting along with them.
