David Nolte, 62, has been ordered to stay away from the Ghost Whisperer star for the next three years, after she claimed that she feared for life.
The actress requested the order after Nolte sent her more than 100 graphic letters, detailing violent and sexual fantasies.
She also claimed that he had sold his Colorado home in order to move closer to her in Los Angeles and that he appeared at her mother's house in late December.
Yesterday, a Burbank, California court granted the star's request and ordered Nolte to stay away from her, former fiancé Ross McCall and Universal Studios, where she films her CBS show.
