Amy Winehouse has been included on a list of 'creative innovators' by a government-supported organisation.

The singer's performance of 'You Know I Am No Good' and 'Rehab' for the Grammy awards in 2008 was nominated as part of the Creativity & Business International Network's (C&binet) creative business review, which celebrates the diversity of British talent.

Winehouse was nominated by the head of Universal Music Lucian Grainge, who said that she was "an example of what I feel is great British talent, both as a songwriter as well as a performer".

"Unique artists so often pay a steep personal price for their gift. Creativity burns bright and dark; there are shadows, there is conflict. When she's at her best, Amy Winehouse conquers the demons," she wrote on Cabinetforum.org.
