Barton: 'Martin Sheen was my rock'

Mischa Barton has said that Martin Sheen was her "rock" when they teamed up for a new film

The actress revealed that she developed a close relationship with Sheen during the filming of Bhopal: Prayer For Rain.

"Martin is an incredible human, actor and my rock through our part of filming. His kindness overwhelmed me, as well as his professionalism and just how down to earth he is," she wrote on her blog.

"Those are the kind of actors I respect; no matter how famous you get, you remind yourself you're doing what you love to do. Even when it's gruelling and we are re-writing all the lines ourselves, it's fun with someone like him."

She added that her time with the veteran actor will benefit her career, saying: "When you work with talented people when you're young, it makes it so easy to give a great performance. He was my rock."
