Winehouse dad flies to 'tormented' singer

Amy Winehouse's father has flown out to St. Lucia after growing concerned about the state of her health.

Mitch Winehouse arrived on the Caribbean island after admitting that he was getting increasingly worried about the star.

"I've only just got here, so it's too early to say what's going on with Amy. I need to have a chat with her," he told Metro.

"He'll be out there for as long as it takes," his wife Jane added.

The singer has reportedly been drinking heavily at her hotel and narrowly escaped police charges after throwing a glass of water over a fellow holiday maker. The hotel's management have reportedly refused to serve the singer more alcoholic drinks.

Winehouse has extended her stay on the Caribbean island after continuing rumours of a budding romance with actor Josh Bowman.
