Kate Winslet has confessed that she does not feel like a movie star, despite being one of the most in-demand actresses in Hollywood.
The Revolutionary Road star, who recently picked up two Golden Globes, told InStyle that her everyday life is far removed from the movie star stereotype.
"I don’t feel like [a movie star] in my life at all, and I don’t particularly think I behave like one," she said. "I don’t have my own plane. I don’t have a chef or a trainer.
"To me, you’re a movie star only during the time when you’re at the Academy Awards or at an important glamorous event. It’s very much a hat that you wear, and as soon as the event’s over, that hat comes off.
"I’m back to being me and being Mummy and that’s my priority.”
Winslet, who married director Sam Mendes in 2003, is mother to Mia, eight, and five-year-old Joe.
